Altamonte Springs Utility Submetering and Billing

Customized to Your Exact Needs

Altamonte Springs Utility Submetering and Billing
for Water, Electric and Gas

Many property managers and owners assume that improving utility management requires replacing an entire submetering system. In many cases, however, existing equipment can be used, repaired, upgraded, or integrated into a more efficient billing program. Oates Energy provides Altamonte Springs utility submetering and billing solutions for water, electric, and gas by evaluating each property’s current infrastructure and recommending the approach that offers the greatest long-term value, whether that involves system improvements or a completely new installation.

Our Altamonte Springs utility submetering and billing services are designed to give property managers flexibility at every stage of the process. Clients select only the billing, reporting, and support services that fit their operational goals, and we tailor those services to complement the way each property is managed. This practical, property-specific approach has made Oates Energy a trusted utility management partner for multifamily communities, condominium associations, mobile home parks, and commercial properties all over the country.

Utility Submetering & Billing
for Multifamily Communities

Altamonte Springs Utility Submetering and Billing for Multifamily Communities

For many multifamily property managers, utility billing is only one part of the monthly accounting process. Resident statements often include recurring charges for internet, cable television, telephone service, garages, storage units, pet fees, and other property-specific expenses. Oates Energy provides Altamonte Springs utility submetering and billing solutions that consolidate these responsibilities into a customized billing program designed to improve accuracy while reducing the administrative burden on management teams.

Rather than asking clients to adapt to a predefined billing platform, our Altamonte Springs utility submetering and billing services are configured around each property’s existing operation. Property managers decide which billing and support services they want to use, and we tailor those services to match their preferred workflows. The result is a flexible billing solution that supports accurate utility cost recovery while reflecting the unique needs of each community.

Utility Submetering & Billing
for Condominium Communities

Altamonte Springs Utility Submetering and Billing for Condominium Communities

Condominium associations typically have different governance structures, financial responsibilities, and resident expectations than other multi-unit properties. Oates Energy provides Altamonte Springs utility submetering and billing solutions that recognize those differences by developing utility management programs around each community’s unique operating procedures. Instead of relying on standardized service packages, we work with condominium managers to create billing solutions that integrate smoothly with their existing administrative processes.

Every Altamonte Springs utility submetering and billing program is built from the services the association actually needs. Once those services are selected, we customize their implementation to reflect the community’s policies, reporting requirements, and management preferences. Whether your association requires a straightforward utility billing program or a more comprehensive solution, we can tailor our services to improve operational efficiency while supporting accurate utility cost recovery.

Utility Submetering & Billing
for
Mobile Home Parks

Altamonte Springs Utility Submetering and Billing for Mobile Home Parks

Mobile home parks rarely share the same utility infrastructure, so the most effective billing solution often depends on the equipment already in place. Oates Energy provides Altamonte Springs utility submetering and billing services for communities with modern remote-read systems, traditional direct-read meters, or a combination of both. Our team evaluates each property’s existing setup and recommends practical solutions that support accurate billing without requiring unnecessary equipment replacement.

When individual utility submeters are not available or a park chooses not to install them, our Altamonte Springs utility submetering and billing services can include customized Ratio Utility Billing System (RUBS) programs to allocate utility expenses fairly. We also provide resident billing, U.S.-based customer support, and scalable service options for communities of many sizes, including smaller mobile home parks with as few as 50 residences. This flexible approach helps property owners improve utility cost recovery while reducing the time spent managing monthly billing.

Utility Submetering & Billing
for
Commercial Properties

Altamonte Springs Utility Submetering and Billing for Commercial Properties

Utility expenses can have a significant impact on the operating costs of a commercial property, particularly when those costs are absorbed into base lease rates instead of being allocated separately. Oates Energy provides Altamonte Springs utility submetering and billing solutions that help commercial property owners bill utility expenses independently, creating a clearer distinction between rent and utility charges while improving transparency for both owners and tenants.

Our Altamonte Springs utility submetering and billing services are tailored to each property’s existing infrastructure, tenant mix, and lease arrangements. Whether utilities are individually submetered or require an alternative allocation method, we develop a billing program that supports accurate utility cost recovery and efficient property management. By matching the billing strategy to the way each property operates, we help owners maintain competitive lease rates while improving the recovery of utility expenses.

Utility Submetering Laws and Regulations in Florida

*Where individual metering is not required and master metering is used in lieu thereof, reasonable apportionment methods, including submetering may be used by the customer of record or the owner of such facility solely for the purpose of allocating the cost of the electricity billed by the utility. The term “cost” as used herein means only those charges specifically authorized by the electric utility’s tariff, including but not limited to the customer, energy, demand, fuel, conservation, capacity and environmental charges made by the electric utility plus applicable taxes and fees to the customer of record responsible for the master meter payments.

The term “cost” does not include late payment charges, returned check charges, the cost of the customer-owned distribution system behind the master meter, the customer of record’s cost of billing the individual units, and other such costs. Any fees or charges collected by a customer of record for electricity billed to the customer’s account by the utility, whether based on the use of submetering or any other allocation method, shall be determined in a manner which reimburses the customer of record for no more than the customer’s actual cost of electricity.

Each utility shall develop a standard policy governing the provisions of submetering as provided for herein. Such policy shall be filed by each utility as part of its tariffs. The policy shall have uniform application and shall be nondiscriminatory (Fla. Administrative Code §25-6.049).
