Oakland Park
Utility Submetering and Billing Services
Customized Solutions Tailored to Your Unique Needs
Oakland Park Utility Submetering and Billing for
Water, Electric and Gas
The most effective utility management programs are built around the needs of the property, not the limitations of the service provider. Oates Energy delivers Oakland Park utility submetering and billing solutions for water, electric, and gas utilities by working with property owners and managers to understand how their communities or commercial properties operate before recommending a billing strategy. This collaborative approach helps ensure every solution supports the property’s existing management practices and long-term operational goals.
Our Oakland Park utility submetering and billing services are fully configurable, allowing clients to select the billing, reporting, resident support, and account management services that provide the greatest value. Once those services are selected, we tailor their implementation to match each property’s workflow and administrative preferences. The following sections provide a closer look at how Oates Energy customizes its utility submetering and billing services for several of the primary markets we serve.
Multifamily | Apartment
Submetering & Billing
Implementing a new utility billing program does not have to disrupt your property’s daily operations. Oates Energy works closely with multifamily property managers to develop Oakland Park utility submetering and billing solutions that transition smoothly into existing administrative workflows. From the initial setup through ongoing service, we configure each billing program to reflect your property’s procedures, resident communication preferences, and operational objectives.
To provide responsive, consistent support, every Oakland Park utility submetering and billing client is assigned a dedicated client relationship manager who serves as a single point of contact. Our U.S.-based resident support team also assists with billing questions while following your property’s established policies and guidelines. Contact Oates Energy to learn how a customized utility billing solution can simplify administration while supporting more accurate utility cost recovery.
Condominium
Submetering & Billing
Condominium associations and homeowner associations often require utility billing programs that reflect their governing documents, financial priorities, and resident expectations. Oates Energy provides Oakland Park utility submetering and billing solutions that are developed around those requirements, giving community managers the flexibility to implement only the services that support their day-to-day operations instead of selecting from fixed service packages.
Every Oakland Park utility submetering and billing program is configured to complement the association’s preferred billing practices and administrative processes. By allocating utility expenses more accurately, communities can encourage responsible utility usage, improve recovery of utility costs, and better manage operating expenses over time. Contact Oates Energy to discuss a customized utility submetering and billing solution designed specifically for your condominium or HOA.
Mobile Home Park
Submetering & Billing
Utility billing in a mobile home park often requires a different strategy than billing for apartments or condominiums. Variations in park size, utility infrastructure, and metering configurations can make it difficult to apply a single billing method across every residence. Oates Energy provides Oakland Park utility submetering and billing solutions that are designed to accommodate these differences, allowing park owners to implement a program that reflects the way their community is actually configured.
Our Oakland Park utility submetering and billing services are scalable for both large and smaller mobile home parks, including many communities with as few as 50 residences. Whether utilities are fully submetered, partially submetered, or require a combination of billing methods, we develop a customized solution that supports accurate utility allocation, reduces administrative effort, and improves utility cost recovery. Contact Oates Energy to discuss a program tailored to your park’s specific requirements.
Commercial Property
Submetering & Billing
Commercial properties often require utility billing programs that can accommodate different tenant types, lease structures, and patterns of utility consumption. Oates Energy develops Oakland Park utility submetering and billing solutions after evaluating how each property operates, allowing owners and managers to implement a program that aligns with their financial objectives and day-to-day management practices rather than relying on a standardized approach.
Our Oakland Park utility submetering and billing services are tailored to support accurate utility allocation, transparent tenant billing, and effective recovery of utility expenses. Whether your property requires individual utility submetering, customized billing workflows, or additional reporting capabilities, we configure each solution around your operational requirements. Contact Oates Energy to discuss a utility submetering and billing program designed specifically for your commercial property.

Utility Submetering Laws and Regulations in Florida
*Where individual metering is not required and master metering is used in lieu thereof, reasonable apportionment methods, including submetering may be used by the customer of record or the owner of such facility solely for the purpose of allocating the cost of the electricity billed by the utility. The term “cost” as used herein means only those charges specifically authorized by the electric utility’s tariff, including but not limited to the customer, energy, demand, fuel, conservation, capacity and environmental charges made by the electric utility plus applicable taxes and fees to the customer of record responsible for the master meter payments.
The term “cost” does not include late payment charges, returned check charges, the cost of the customer-owned distribution system behind the master meter, the customer of record’s cost of billing the individual units, and other such costs. Any fees or charges collected by a customer of record for electricity billed to the customer’s account by the utility, whether based on the use of submetering or any other allocation method, shall be determined in a manner which reimburses the customer of record for no more than the customer’s actual cost of electricity.
Each utility shall develop a standard policy governing the provisions of submetering as provided for herein. Such policy shall be filed by each utility as part of its tariffs. The policy shall have uniform application and shall be nondiscriminatory (Fla. Administrative Code §25-6.049).
