Customizable Utility Submetering and Billing Solutions
Ormond Beach Utility Submetering and Billing
for Water, Electric and Gas
Utility billing works best when the technology, billing methods, and customer support are designed to complement the way a property is managed. Oates Energy provides Ormond Beach utility submetering and billing solutions for multifamily apartment communities, condominium associations, mobile home parks, and commercial properties by combining flexible billing services with practical utility management tools. Our services integrate with major property management software platforms and can include Ratio Utility Billing System (RUBS) programs for properties without individual utility submeters.
Beyond utility billing, our Ormond Beach utility submetering and billing services include U.S.-based resident customer support to assist with billing questions and account inquiries, helping reduce the administrative workload for property managers. Every solution is developed around the property’s infrastructure, operational requirements, and management preferences. The following sections illustrate how Oates Energy adapts its services to meet the needs of several of the primary property types we serve.
Utility Submetering & Billing
for Multifamily Communities
Managing utility billing for a large multifamily community requires more than simply calculating monthly utility charges. Property managers are often responsible for billing recurring services such as internet, cable television, telephone service, garages, storage units, and pet fees while maintaining accurate resident accounts. Oates Energy provides Ormond Beach utility submetering and billing solutions that simplify these responsibilities by bringing utility billing and related monthly charges together in a coordinated, property-specific program.
Our Ormond Beach utility submetering and billing services integrate with major property management software platforms and support both remote-read and traditional utility submetering systems. After evaluating your property’s operational needs, we help you determine which services provide the greatest value and configure them to fit your existing management processes. This customized approach reduces administrative workload, improves billing accuracy, and supports more complete recovery of utility expenses. Contact Oates Energy to discuss a solution tailored to your multifamily community.
Utility Submetering & Billing
for Condominium Communities
Condominium associations often need utility billing services that complement their existing management procedures while providing residents with clear, reliable account information. Oates Energy delivers Ormond Beach utility submetering and billing solutions that allow communities to recover utility expenses accurately while maintaining the flexibility to bill residents according to the association’s established policies. Our services are designed to support both the management team and the residents they serve.
Our Ormond Beach utility submetering and billing solutions combine advanced billing software, secure online account access, and a U.S.-based customer care team that responds to resident questions using your community’s billing policies and guidelines. By tailoring every billing program to the association’s operational requirements, we help simplify administration, improve transparency, and support more effective recovery of utility costs. Contact Oates Energy to discuss a customized solution for your condominium community or building.
Utility Submetering & Billing
for Mobile Home Parks
Every mobile home park has different utility infrastructure, which is why the same billing strategy does not work for every community. Oates Energy provides Ormond Beach utility submetering and billing solutions for parks that are upgrading to remote-read submetering technology as well as properties that prefer to continue using their existing systems. When individual utility submeters are not practical, we also offer customized Ratio Utility Billing System (RUBS) programs to allocate utility expenses fairly.
After evaluating your park’s utility configuration and management objectives, we develop an Ormond Beach utility submetering and billing program that reflects how your community operates. From utility allocation and resident billing to recurring fees and customer support, every service is configured to help maximize utility cost recovery while reducing the administrative workload on park management. Contact Oates Energy to discuss a solution designed specifically for your mobile home park.
Utility Submetering & Billing
for Commercial Properties
Commercial properties with multiple tenants often experience significant differences in water, electric, and gas consumption from one leased space to another. Without a reliable method of measuring individual usage, allocating utility expenses fairly can become difficult and may result in inaccurate cost recovery. Oates Energy provides Ormond Beach utility submetering and billing solutions that give property owners the information needed to assign utility costs based on actual consumption whenever individual submeters are installed.
Our Ormond Beach utility submetering and billing services include professional submetering system installation, accurate usage tracking, and customized tenant billing based on your property’s established billing policies. By measuring and billing utilities separately from lease charges, commercial property owners gain greater transparency, improve utility cost recovery, and provide tenants with a clearer understanding of their monthly utility expenses. Contact Oates Energy to discuss a solution designed specifically for your commercial property.

Utility Submetering Laws and Regulations in Florida
*Where individual metering is not required and master metering is used in lieu thereof, reasonable apportionment methods, including submetering may be used by the customer of record or the owner of such facility solely for the purpose of allocating the cost of the electricity billed by the utility. The term “cost” as used herein means only those charges specifically authorized by the electric utility’s tariff, including but not limited to the customer, energy, demand, fuel, conservation, capacity and environmental charges made by the electric utility plus applicable taxes and fees to the customer of record responsible for the master meter payments.
The term “cost” does not include late payment charges, returned check charges, the cost of the customer-owned distribution system behind the master meter, the customer of record’s cost of billing the individual units, and other such costs. Any fees or charges collected by a customer of record for electricity billed to the customer’s account by the utility, whether based on the use of submetering or any other allocation method, shall be determined in a manner which reimburses the customer of record for no more than the customer’s actual cost of electricity.
Each utility shall develop a standard policy governing the provisions of submetering as provided for herein. Such policy shall be filed by each utility as part of its tariffs. The policy shall have uniform application and shall be nondiscriminatory (Fla. Administrative Code §25-6.049).
